Foxface rescue

Hello all, I recently rescued a 7" one spot foxface. They had him in a 50 gallon :( anyways, I have him now in my 215 and he looks much better. My main concern is that, while I have many caves in my rock work, few are big enough for him to enter easily. I notice he spends the night tight up against the rock looking all stressed. I have a couple caves he could use but hasn't yet. Will I need to redo my aquascape to give him a very large cave or is this the norm?

Probably best to make him some caves or alcoves to hide in. I doubt hiding up against things looking stressed is normal.

My foxface actually uses his spines to jam up in the rocks and camos himself. I dont have many caves for him in my 125 and quite frankly he doesnt use them. If he wants to go in one he will. I dont think its necessary to redo your aquascape unless you feel he is terribly stressed.

My fox face does the same- props himself between coral branches or rocks in the night while wearing his "pajama"

They always looked stressed at night. If he has 1-2 places possible to hide I wouldn't worry about it. Mine would always hang out in a little valley although he had many caves and holes to hide in.
