I hate to beat a dead horse. I asked this question today twice in different ways and everyone was so nice in sending replies. I have gotten a small piece of LR and have loosely rubber banded a Kenya Tree Coral to the rock. Is is important that the cut side of the coral is touching the LR or will the coral adjust and attach from a new spot? Thanks.

If it were me, I'd try to keep the cut piece touching the rock, but any surface should attach. Make sure the rubber band isn't too loose and keeping them touching, it should be tight enough to be secure but not so tight that it's cutting into the coral.

That's awesome!

With that kind of dedication, you'll do very well in this hobby.
