I got this frag for free the other day, can anyone tell what is? It looks like it might be half dead, hopefully I can bring it back, think there is any hope?

I think I have the same piece. I believe it to be Pavona Venosa. I posted a thread in the SPS ID forum a few months back.

definately looks like a pavona, seems to be doing well and encrusting....really couldnt see any tissue loss so it looks like itll be alright. good luck!

Quick grower for me. I have had it grow really well in high to medium light. It was given to me as a potato chip coral.

I have it in low light, partially shaded. Encrusts quickly, and glows under actinics.
