Frag question

I just bought a dragon eye zoa today and it came in a peg-like base. I am new to reef, so can someone tell me, am I supposed to remove it from the peg or can I just leave it in? Also, will these spread throughout the tank?

You can keep them on the plug and with the proper care they will spread. I'm not sure what you mean by throughout the tank though.

Tony, You can trim the peg from the disc and place it where you want it if you like. It will probably be easier to do this than remove it from the disc. JMO!
