frag swap for may 2nd meeting

Who is bringing rare corals and what are they? Jeff is the club going to buy anything for the swap? if you dont have rare stuff it will be 20 dollars to enter the swap. any questions?

i will be bringing 2 frags of the green monti from space. (james feel free to tell them what it is called)

FWIW IMO It doesn't have to be SPS to fit in the rare category. I think the only requirement is that it should be rare to see the coral available for sale. I can bring a green polyped Sarcophyton sp. and or an Alcyonium sp. for the softy lovers. I have never seen the Alcyonium sp. as it came in as an incidental attached to another coral. The green leather is getting easyier to find but I still don't see the Alcyonium. I can post a photo if you want. l bring a Psammocora as well.

Please list what you are bringing. I would not like to see anyone be left out because they think they won't get something they like.

The only two things I have that might be considered "rare" are cyphastrea decadia and psammocora nierstraszi (green).

At least a few of the potential swappers already have the cyphastrea from me (so it probably isn't a good "entry" for the swap), but if piece of the psammocora counts as "rare," then sure - I'll play!

Let me know, ye who judge the rarity of such things!

Definately bring the alcyonium Steve. I would love to see that. Nobody ever said the frags had to be SPS. That was Dan's assumption.

There maybe quite a few hobbiest that have them now but very few are imported. You would be lucky to find any in a local store. I did a google search and there aren't even many online businesses that have them.
