Frag swap was packed

Great swap - wish I would've got there at 12:00. Thanks to C-SEA and all that helped make the swap a success.

You're welcome! :D

Great job, CSEA! I really had a good time, got a bunch of nice goodies to bring home, got a nice buzz (thanks Erik!) and only had one dude out of 15 not show up to buy a frag he requested. All in all, a great time.

You can't beat $2.00 drafts and .75 hot dogs:thumbsup:

I just got finished acclamating all those corals ...Damn Frost thanks to you I think I have the largest Zoo colection in Northeast Ohio ....... Looks like everything is doing well .... Still have a lil more Room!!

Nice job C-SEA. I got some nice stuff today, new 250W bulb for spare, frag plugs, several fancy new SPS, and a VorTech! Had to leave at 2:00 to be back on duty tonight so I missed the raffle...:(
Really pushed it so my wife had to aclimate everything...:mixed:

Nice venue, but I wonder what the occupancy was...:eek1:

thanks to all the members who put it together and the sponsors for the prizes. It was our first swap and we had a great time. Cheap food and beer was great.

Yeah, good stuff. I have a new respect for the club. Have not one gripe, yeah it was crazy packed, but that just makes it that much more fun. Thanks to all!!!!

where next, the IX center ? man i have been to 3 and they keep getting bigger and bigger , it will be 450 -500 next year , and NO way shape of form am i bashing this venue , it was awesome !!! but the parking lot at one time couldn't hold another car ,,great job folks !!

I got there an hour late and it was so packed it was hard to move anywhere. It cleared out though after a while.. Great place though. How did the floor hold up. Hard wood floors and saltwater don't mix too well sometimes. Alot better than the last swap I went to before salty opened at the new place. Can't believe how much bigger it go since then. Eveyone great job.

Man I got there late, volunteered late, had to have my friends help me sell the corals that I brought, didn't get to go around and check out the swap until after the raffle, and still ended up with a frag rack full of new goodies. Glad I got there late, or else my wallet would have been a whole heck of a lot lighter than what it is now. And to add to all this, won me 2 MH bulbs, and a maxijet 1200. Thanks C-sea and everyone who helped out for putting together a great venue.

Superman for only $40! Great deal huh?

So let's see. This is the 4th or 5th Cleveland swap I've been to. We got there right at 12 and there wasn't a table to be had. Considering the amount of stuff we brought (two people) I wasn't very happy. In the past there were always a ton of tables for swappers. I'd have rather paid the $10 for the tables and had them available, I tend to think people that wouldn't have paid the $5 sucked up free spots. But thanks to IceCap either way for the tables. This is a good company that's hired on some experienced hobbiests recently and that's nothing but good news for us.

One of the club people helped us get a half a table, which was a heroic effort by the way. We managed to cart all of our crap in past the swarm of swappers and stood there wondering if we should try to put things out or just leave in disgust.

Then the magic of the Cleveland swap happened... and we started selling things so fast we couldn't even get them unpacked. By the time an hour went by someone across from us packed up and we spread out to one half table spot each, and sold the rest of our stuff by 2:30 or so.

Kudos for another fantastic swap. Despite the difficulties, it was still wroth the trip by a large margin. And bonus, about 2 miles from the swap was a fantastic Mexican restaraunt. Bless those Mexicans and their tasty food! For the record, Pittsburgh has NO Mexican just horrible chain TexMex. Never come here and want to eat. :(

Some final thoughts:

- the hall was much nicer, but just was not nearly big enough
- the people that operated the hall were very nice
- the raffle tables ate up a TON of real estate. Would have been much better to have them in a different area, but again, space.
- I'm not sure why people that have no business at the swap would come and clog up the already over crowded hall for four hours, but there were quite a few of them. Seriously, if you aren't swapping or at least interested in looking... stay at home. Or in the car. Please.
- everyone moving through the hall was very polite and patient about the bumping. Just a fantastic group of people dealing with tough conditions.
- people that made reservations with fragswapper on the whole made the effort to claim their items. I think I had one no show out of 15 or so pre arrangements. That's just great.
- there may have just been too many vendors. I say "may" because I was not there to see vendors, but the majority of swappers probably are. I'm just saying that there were a ton of vendors, many with the same items. Nice or them to support the club with their money and effort to show up. Okay, maybe I waffle on this one. More room would have fixed it. heh

Thanks C-SEA. Even with the setbacks you put on the best swap I've been to in a year .

S !

hehe, i only gave you half the corals sean, didn't know how much room you really had and didn't want to take up all the space, you need room for your own corals and future corals. but thanks to you i had some room to fit the new stuff, now i'm completely pack again, i might have to stack corals on top of each other
