Frag Tank Lighting

Hey Guys,

Im going to set up a frag tank with some stuff that i just have sitting around. I will be using an old 20H with eggcrate racks and more than a few mods (HOB AC 110 fuge, ATO, custom 2 way flow). My question is, do you think a 2x24 T5 Tek retro will be enought light for mixed frags (GSP, zoas, softies, and later down the road some SPS when the frags in my display grow into colonies that i can frag! : ) )? If so, what bulbs should i use?

Im just tryng to keep it cheap, thanks for your time and help.

get the icecap reflectors and you should be fine

I keep softie frags in a 2.5gallon with just 2 NO 50/50 Coralife 10W and a in tank filter with Charcoal/Phosguard and LR.

Xenia, Kenya Tree, Mushrooms, GSP, Zoas, Yellow Polyps and even some Candy Cane.

Xenia, Shrooms, GSP show good but slow growth with those params, everything else looks healthy.

So what you have should be much better than mine for softie growth IMO.
