Frag tank substrate for maxi nems and rock flowers.

I am currently setting up prop tanks for mini maxis and another one for rock flowers. My question is would crushed coral or sand be better? I have them currently in cc but personally I like the look sand better. Any pros or cons?

Crushed coral would be better. It's easier to ship and the nems will attach onto the crushed rock. Anything sand is very difficult to use. There are no good uses for sand in the aquarium in my opinion.

Crushed coral will trap detritus but it's a great substrate for anemones and mushrooms. You can also leave the tank bare bottom and put crushed coral into Rubbermaid containers to keep things tidier.
