Fragged my Florida Rics

This was my first time attempting to frag any kind of coral. It was a single mushroom with two mouths, but it wasn't splitting. So I cut between the 2 mouths.

How did I do?

Photo was takin about 5 minutes after they were fragged.

Looks good. I need to put my big boys pants on and Frag some of mine. They just aren't splitting fast enough.

looks good to me, if you feed them some mysis or flake food they will heal faster.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm glad I didn't screw it up, now hopefully they heal well.

I just fragged mine for the first time as well. It was a purple ricordia with three mouths. Now i have on with 2 mouths and one with just one mouth.

You guys are much braver than me with your rics...

i've done this with rics and mushrooms with just one mouth, just cut straight in the middle. mushrooms somehow have better survival rate. with rics they melt sometime. weird thing is i cut this one ric off, pull it off a rock first and left 2 little pieces, cut the original into two and they survived. then the 2 little pieces left in the rock grew 2 two little rics too. so now i have 4.
