This nepthea is getting kind of big. I want to frag it but I am worried about toxins. I won't be able to take it out since the rock it is attached to won't be able to come out without messing things up.

Can I cut it in the tank? Or should I just let it be.

Cut it and stuff the new frag into a rock or attach with some super glue. Run some carbon and you'll be fine. A water change isn't necessary.

You got nothing to worry about. I've fraged it many times and i didnt do anything special about it. One thing to keep in mind is that you wont be able to glue it. Best thing to do is to cut it and place it in a container with crushed coral or rock rubble. Make sure to have the slow water flow where you place it so it doesnt fly out. It should take 2-3 weeks for it to attach. Then you can glue it to a plug or rock. Here is my forest :) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VPxekSC9Dgw Good luck!

Holy s#^! .. that is a lot of nepthea lol

all i do is just razor blade a nice chunk off and lightly tie it to a piece of rubble with non flavored dental floss. no need for water change
