Fragging Question.

When I frag button polyps, do I just cut a portion of the base that connects the polyps with the mother colony with a sharp razor blade.

Thanks.

Excellent demo.
I wish I had seen this before my first fragging.

Just one thing, Zoos/palys can have a deadly toxin, so you might want to wear gloves to be on the safe side... or at the very least don't lick your fingers after touching them.

I've seen this one before (I think). Nevertheless, GREAT tutorial, thank you for posting it.

In addition to the gloves some kind of glasses/safety goggles is also quite important.. Zoanthids are known to squirt...
A couple of days ago i got hit on my forehead... I was not wearing any goggles... I will the next time :)

A++ for the tuturial. Please note a couple things the poster has done:

1 - Proper amount of super glue. See how there's no volcano-sized mound of glue?

2 - Nice sized frag. If you are peeling zoas, you really want to take a minimum of a few full sized polyps. This will help you glue them, and in the event that you damages a polyp cutting there's other polyps to save the frag.

3 - He's fragging a COLONY! And not a plug with three polyps on it. This allows him to pick an area where the growth helps the peeling process.

Again, very well illustrated. Now I never have to answer this question again, I can just link here. :)

Yeah I posted it in another thread where someone asked how to frag zoa's.

Anyone can link the photo off my photobucket account if they want.
