Fragging Ricordias?

i have a Ricordia in my tank that I have had for a while. Its about 4-5". Its getting pretty large, and showing no signs of splitting. What is the best way to cut it up? Or should I just let it do its thing?

i wrap a rubber band around my ricordias. it facilitates them splitting.

i'm sure apon or mr ugly will chime in, but my understanding with mushrooms (including rics) is that you can just use a razor blade and cut them into 2-4 parts (like pizza slices) and they grow back fine..

cut it up into 4 parts like otter saids but making sure each pie shape pieces have part of the base with it, and then put the pieces in a tray with some rubbles cover and secured them loosely with some vales, they should attached in about 1 - 2 weeks, after that remove the vales

I just let mine do it by themselves. If/when a 2nd mouth develops then I would consider a force cut to seperate them.

i've cut ric's with a sharp pair or scissors before to prop. them.

Works fine, but you really have to give it a lot of time to heal and develop into a new shroom.

(and make sure it doesn't float away. )
