Fragging zoas

I have some zoas I was thinking about cutting back. The only problem is they are on my base rock no way in hell that thing is coming out lol. Can I frag in the main tank or will I kill everything with the toxins?

thanks guys

it should be fine. it's gonna be difficult to frag underwater though. unless if you're just trimming and don't care too much for the ones cut away.

I have some zoas that I'd like to frag as well (armageddons) but they are on a rock that cannot come out. If I grab them with a pair of hemostats (lightly) and cut them from the rock with the other hand using a razor blade...would this work? Will they glue easily to a piece of rubble? I'm new to this, but would like to get a frag or two of these. Thanks in advance. :)

I frag with a wood chisel outside of the tank. If you could get some leverage those things will shave them right off and you will truely thin them out as you will remove the mat and all. They will also shave off parts of your fingers if you are not careful. Speaking from experiance!
Good luck.
