Can I just cut the very base of the stalk and super glue it to another piece of rock? Or is it too soft, mushy and slimy?

Thanks,

Josh

you can let it frag off the natural way, and put rubble rock around it and let it grow there, once settled just cut off the remaining connecting tissues.

I use this technique as well. If you feel the need to prune it helps to let them slime and shrink up, making sure you get as much slime off as possible before transferring it to your rubble container. Healthy frags should start to attach within a few days.

i have scraped off the base and rubber banded about 100 frags on xenia. just give it time to heal in the tank.

Just cut it at the base, use a few toothpicks and pin it at the base to a piece of live rock. Remove the toothpicks after several days and they will be attached.
