frags from last meeting?

Curious how everyone's frags from last meeting are doing? My chalice frag is doing great, the edges are all healed up and have started growing. The favia was doing so-so for a couple of weeks and then over a span of about 3 days it completely melted.

wow a favia melted? sorry to hear about that. never even heard of that happening. nothing else in the tank looks wierd huh? like xenia?

There were some dying spots on it before we fragged it so it wasn't fully healthy before we started. Everything else in the tank is doing fine...It looked like the favia just didn't recover from the fragging.

yeah if it wasn't out of your tank you never know what was up with it. might try an iodine dip after fragging something that doesn't look so well before you start. incase there is something bacterial going on.

I had the exact opposite happen. My Favia seems to be doing well but the chalice has all melted away.

well, then in a couple of months we can swap frags!

My chalice coral has also healed up well. My Favia has been looking pretty much unchanged, but I don't have a good feeling aobut it. The montipora frag is growing and the xenia are doing fine.

The chalice and monti are showing nice growth. However the monti doesn't have that nice rasberry color right now. The chalice already has new tissue growth over the rock it was glued too.
