As I live miles from anywhere. All my fish/inverts/corals are posted via 12hr delivery.
I have not had much exp with SPS before.
My tank parameters are :
Mag 1400
Calc 430ppm
PH 8.3
ALK 12 DKH
Ammonia Zero
Nitrite Zero
Nitrate 10ppm
Phosphates (close to zero)
Temp 24.1 (77)
SG 1.025
Lighting ....72x3W luxon LED's with dimmer.
The questions are ; When the sps frags arrive. I do not know what perimeters they were raised with. Do I float them, drip them, then dip and put in tank ?? as the alk might have been alot lower in their tank.
I have the LED's 10" above water level. The water is 17" deep. I have the LED's on 43%. Softies doing fine, plenty of coralline algae everywhere. I guess I start on the sand and gradually move up. Last time I have 4 or 5 Acro's which grew for a few months then died off. If I can remember they started going white from the base upwards. But back then I was not careful about Alk swings when i preformed large water changes plus I dosed alk in panic when tests showed low PH etc ... I am a little more patient now !, plus my Calcium Reactor is setup properly now. I really want to have success this time. Some of your tanks look amazing, and mine looks like the moon. Really got to get the hang of this this time.
Coming soon:
In French (sorry)
Gorgone
Stylophora jaune et vert
Acropora bleu
Sinularia rose
Stylophora vert fluo
Pachivularia vert
Montipora orange
Montipora marron
Échinopora plateau
