It was great seeing everyone that was able to make it today. Good to add a few more faces and names with the reefcentral screen names.

I thought we had a good turnout for the event today being our first quad cities event.

Well back to acclimating. Hope everyones corals made it home ok.

I thought it was a nice spot to have it in as well, although as the event grows you may have to look for a larger place.

Clayton was taking pictures I know, and I saw someone else with a camera, but dont remember who.

I brought home a few millis, a blueberry tort, a couple montiporas, and a couple things I can remember.

we got 9 kinds of zoos, an orange ric yuma, a bunch of gsp, some sort of leather toadstool.. some african green tree.. some kenya tree, some of this weird awesome yellow tipped xenia (im going to post pics of these for sure when they look better.. its been a long long day for them)

some candy cane, green fuzzy shrooms.. some other kind of shrooms... some rock, some sand... oh, bought some plastic frag mounts from the uberfrag people.. those are nice, i used 9 of them just to mount some of the stuff we got today.

the group i was with stopped at sea of marvels (which was ashley and my first time) - got a couple cups of phyto...

and of course, 2 buckets... because stuff was in them.. i think thats it... not sure.

anyways, it was cool. i met some people, although i wouldve liked to meet more people... its so hard to keep up with everyone when they are busy.

i forgot to give out the borneman cds i burned... i still have them.. i think i could mail them if you cant download it.. let me know.

yey for first time frag swaps. haha ~

Great Event! I really had a blast and spent too much. I don't even know if I can remember everything I got. We finally have our long awaited Purple Bonsai (thanks Jason). We also picked up Green Slimer, Green Favia, Purple Digitata, Powder Blue Stag and about 5 more I can't think of right now.

Thanks everybody, can't wait till spring.

heck yeah. i think im going to sell some stuff at the next one... the tank is full of stuff now, there are corals (lots of new frags, but some bigger older ones) next to eachother all over the place...

if anyone gets a chance to post pics, please do. i brought my cam, i just felt weird about takin pics.

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone who came out today, it was a very nice crowd. Special thanks to u-b-e-r-f-r-a-g-s for making the 2 and 1/2 hour trip to hang out with us for the afternoon. Thanks to everyone who bought corals, Jeremy for driving and Lee and Monty for providing the humor.....whats the word of the day???

that swap was pretty cool, i wish i could have got some of the stuff that was there, it sucks having a new tank,LOL.

there were alotta frag bags there.

i never did see what the fellas from chicago had to offer, anyone take any pics of their frag tank?.

i cant wait for the next auction/swap

I am glad to see you were willing to wait till your tank was ready. Too many people dive in and overstock their tank before its ready, which leads to failure. Congratulations on the will power, we all know how hard it is to wait.

Today was awesome. I sold a lot of stuff, I bought a lot of stuff and I traded some stuff. Can't ask for a better swap meet than that.

I'd have to say that I liked today a lot better than the spring auction, but had there been as many sellers at the auction it might have been a different story. There was no shortage of really nice stuff today!

It was a very good time. It was great putting faces to names I have seen for a couple years. I was very impressed by the LFS you have in Dav (adams aquatics or something like that). We stopped at SOM in IC on the way back. Hung was all wound up today. His black clowns laid eggs & he was acting like a proud daddy. I scored an awesome sun coral from him with over 70 polyps. He said he is having a really hard time getting coral right now, especially sps. So if anyone has any frags to get rid of he might be looking.

It was good to see you too Craig.

I swung by Aquatic Environments when I left earlier. He had a pretty good stack of maps there from people dropping in. I think he was surprised by our turn out. It was also good to see a couple of his workers over there at the frag swap. It sounds like they are pushing him to put in some frag tanks, so hopefully we will see that soon.

It was cool to meet some people, I had a good time. See Ben's list for the stuff we got, it was a pretty sweet turnout on our end. Thanks to everyone who gave/sold us stuff! I think we're both definitely looking forward to the next swap.

i missed the swap! dang, i wanted to go but i had to setup a new server for a customer, there's some things that you just have to do on the weekend when nobody's around.
