Franky's Macro Shots

I got this chalice from Collin as a little round bump on a plug, it has grown to have some nice green and purple splatter on it thats incredible in person yet hard to capture in any pic I've tried.

Got this Red planet Frag from Krazy Karl. Thanks bro for the monster frag. Even though you can't tell in the pic cuz i was trying to go in tight to see the polyps

One of my favorite chalices, The Bubble Gum Monster. Not very expensive yet the colors are amazing plus the pebbled green texture is pretty cool in contrast with the molten lava mouth/eyes

A little baby red cap growing off one of my rocks. Anyone who has gotten a frag from me of this piece can tell you how big it is. The mother colony is about 15x15x15

Last but not least a shot of the toxic green tort i got from Krazy Karl. Funny thing is when i got it from him i think it was a freebie that was about the size of a tic tac,
now its about 5-6 eight inch branches

If it's hard for him to get then you'll never see it in an LFS. Guess $500 Black Tangs are more common, C'est la vie!

Here's a few shots of my clam, funny thing is they look purple when shot through the front of the glass, but if you look down from the top its actually a nice aqua blue color.

Good man, I've had test subject in there for like 2 weeks now and seems to enjoy the system haha. Doing nice water change today but alp is well.

hi franky - with the tripod, how are you taking photos over the tank beyond the first six inches of the front to back of your tank? that is if you need to take a photo in the middle how is a tripod used or is there some kind of extension or something i need to buy or can use? or do i set up a plank over the top of the tank and use a mini tripod? can you take a photo of your rig/setup while taking photos?
