I shoot in manual that way I can control both the shutter speed and the aperture. I shoot everything tripod mounted my hands shake way too much for handheld shooting lol. I tend to use an F stop of 8 or larger most of the time I'm at f11 or f16. Otherwise I lose too much focus. At f16 and higher I lose a lot of light so I bump my iso up to 640 or 800 or so. That way I can keep my shutter speed up. For SPS shutter speed is not that much of an issue like when shooting LPS or fish. Hope that helps
