have a large blue hippo tang alive for about 10 years... seems like he no longer wants to eat... over the past few months he has been eating less & less... color is fading more and more. 100g tank and stop growing at about 5-6 inches. maybe needs a better environment to get him going again? variety of food?

Has he been eating his veggies like a good little boy? I found my tangs don't care for seaweed/Nori too much but they sure tear into some fresh spinach, they even like fresh broccoli.

Do you have any other tangs? 100gl is about the limit for a 6in tang, if there are more tangs that could be a stress issue.

Just some amateur thoughts. :-)

yea he has rejected seaweed plenty times for the last forever... no other tangs. anybody have a better environment for my ol tang.. he's not the prettiest due to age, and refusal of eating lately but he normally always bounces back.. :/

let me explain how tough this tang is... in 10 years span my 100g went through about 4 huge crashes. every single time all or most fish have died except the tang.. he's survived sooo many illnesses. he's been to the depths of hell and back! he hasn't been sick at all in the past year. health now but rejecting the food I have.

ive tried that before... its a liquid garlic that you marinate the fish food in then feed them...he didn't really care for it,..... he will eat but not a lot like he used to
