Free canopy for 96 x 18

I have a golden solid oak canopy for a 96 x 18" tank. It is about 6 inches high. I will post a pic tonight. It is free - please someone, come and take it!

I am interested in the canopy if you don't mind me milling down the wood to use for other project. The only requirement is that it doesn't have a thick high gloss finish (like a polyurethane). The high gloss finish can prematurely damage the planar and jointer.

Edit: If someone can use this as a canopy first - please go ahead and take it. I'd hate to "destroy" a perfectly good canopy if someone else can find a use for it as a canopy. If not - I'd be happy to recycle the wood.

Yeah - but too much of a pain to go through all that trouble. ;-) It's amazing what a planar and jointer can do to a piece of useless wood.

Minh, did you buy a planar and jointer? Man those are 2 tools I wish I had, but no room in the garage for either of them... I came across a really nice 230v jointer for sale too
