Free Chaetomorpha Algae - Lakeland

My refugium so full it's starting to grow out of the water. Very dense and full of life. Started a frag tank a little while ago. I wouldn't turn down a frag of anything to throw in there.

Does chaeto really need 24 hour lighting? I've read of people keeping it in total darkness in ther HOB filters without it dying.

It could live in the dark but I dont think it'll really grow. I have a light that I turn on when I turn the lights off in my main tank
