Free floating shrooms

Not Quite Right
The search tool here is quite frustrating as I am sure this has been covered. How can you attach a mushroom that has come loose and is floating around? I tried to put netting over it on a plug but that is not working out. Maybe it’s my technique? Or lack of one.

Any thoughts?

I am curious of the best way also i just had one do this!!! and it's huge!

I was thinking about putting super glue gel on it but didn't know if you can on these

You can get small plastic containers and put sand or crushed coral in them and cover the top with bridal veil held down with a rubber band. Lately, I've been looking for flat LR and laying a bunch of shrooms on it and again covering with bridal veil and very loosely tie it down with rubber bands. Then I leave it in a low flow area for 2 weeks or so. I've been having better luck with that.

Some people do use super glue, but I've never had luck with it. The shroom will slime up and let go of it.

Depending on the size of the piece of rock you're wanting to mount the shroom on, if it's smaller, I have used pieces of PVC to house it in while you try to get it to attach. If you have the mesh, you can put it over the top of the PVC and hold it in place with a rubber band.

Super glue won't do much on mushrooms. I personally used to just use a bit of fishing line and wrap it around a rock. However, I'm very careful with what mushrooms I will put in my tank. They take over too much and way too hard to control.

I lay them face up on the sand and place a shot glass over it for a week. Then I glue the sand to a rock. Works every time.
