Free Snails!

That's what I got! Kind of. I was doing a thorough cleaning last night and discovered about a half-dozen baby Trochus snails! Cool beans, because these guys are expensive. Strombus have always reproduced like crazy in my tank, but I have never seen a baby Trochus untill last night. I guess I really "set the mood", eh?

Wow I need some fast producing snails. How much is shipping to texas 75088 in a thermo?

The genus Strombus is made up of the true conches in the family Strombidae...they have "reproduced like crazy" in your tank..?
Could you please share some information on how you managed to get their planktonic veligers to settle and metamorph?

I too have baby Trochus snails. I found them in the body of my skimmer, in my display and in my sump even though I have a filter sock.

I would bet our family farm (which we don't have) that those baby Trochus are actually Collonista.

my banded trochus bred too. I have tons of them in my fuge. You can see the bands already. I've got a couple in my main tank that are already the size of dimes. I love these snails!
