if I tell you how to build a quick trap can I have 'em?? I have a good tank set up for a breeding pair right now .... the old inverted pop bottle (litre or 2 litre) always catches clownfish!
it is really simple - take a pop bottle (plastic) and cut the top of (where it narrows upwards). invert it so that top funnel part is pointing down into the bottle. I used hardwood toothpicks to hold the top in place - nothing fancy and easy to clip so you don't have these huge wooden stakes. Tie some fishing line to the trap to easily pull up. then you don't feed the pigs for a day or two .... drop the trap into tank - fill with water - drop some sinking food into trap and lower trap. invariably they will swim in - but hard for them to swim out -can't see the small clear plastic opening.
depending on size you can use the small bottles out of the machien @ work or get a 2 litre....
