tkudlik, you say you now have a xenia free tank ... what did you do to the base that it leaves on the rock?

i've torn all mine out but it keeps growing back.

i'm thinking of covering the bases with superglue next time i pull it all out. think that'll work?

I have LOTS that I'll be getting out of my tank. But its going to take a week or so. I dont want to cut them out. They're going to have to grow on to some rubble, then they're free to whoever wants them. Just pm me.

No cutting needed just peel them off with a pair of tweezers as close to the rock as possible. And it will just peel right off.

Garrick, I've tried that. But whatever little bit of tissue that remains grows back with a vengence. I would scrap the rock or put puddy on it, but its my base rock and can't really get to it to easily. I'm going to try the rubble method and see how well it works.

The rubble method works well but you have to watch it... Pretty much, I'll put a small piece of LR by the xenia and it'll transfer over without a hitch!
