French Angle cloudy eye

I bought this fish from Petco came in a bag never touched their water, has been in my observation tank 20 gallons for 2 weeks, doing great eating swimming seems very happy found him today cuddling with my blenny strange, saw that he has cloudy eye.

What would be the best way to treat both of the fish? Thanks in advance

One eye or both? Cloudy eye can mean so many things: injury, flukes, bacterial infection.

One cloudy eye I also just notice that he was hanging on top of the sponge filter in the bubbles. I also noticed a couple of different times that he wants to stand on his head so to speak, just looking straight down.

The standing on the head appears to be he is looking for food, I use sinking pellets.

Have you treated with Prazipro yet? If not, it might be a good idea to perform a FW dip to check for flukes.

Could he be avoiding looking at the light? That is a possible symptom of velvet. If the fish came from a wholesaler that uses a non-therapeutic level of copper, 2-3 weeks would be about right for velvet to show up.

Personally, I would do the FW dip. If you see flukes, you'll know you need to treat with Prazipro. If you don't see flukes, I would play it safe and treat with either copper or chloroquine phosphate.

Ok thanks a bunch I have treated the angel and the blenny I do have a piece of live rock in the QT sponge filter and a HOB reactor with floss and carbon. Does the CP come in a two part medicine that I see on the counters of the LFS.

CP = Chloroquine phosphate (I've included two links below about it).

I've never seen it available at a LFS before, although that would be awesome if it was. Currently the only way to get reliable CP is by obtaining a prescription (some vets will do) that can be filled at a local pharmacy.

As far as I know, in the United States this is a prescription medication. Contact your veterinarian.

How bout using the Safety Stop Rapid Fish Quarantine?

Dips are only useful (sometimes) to provide temporary relief. The fish wouldn't be in it long enough to eradicate any disease.

I have not treated with Praziro yet but I do have some laying around. I have a 20 gallon tank bare bottom tank.
