Fresh or salt test kit for hyposalinity tank?

I have a fish in a QT that is being treated with hypo. I want to keep a close eye on ammonia but am not sure if my SW kit will work on such a low salinity. I actually have one of the seachem and mardel ammonia alerts in there but I don't know if they are working properly either.

The test kit should work, but how many fish do you have in there maybe just do a water change every 2 to 3 days.

Just one small 1.5"-2" fish. I am doing water changes but jut want to make sure

That's not a lot of bio load, just don't over feed.
