Managed to get a few good shots of some pieces today under the new lighting.

Blue Polyp Montipora Cap. Finally starting to show its green color again.

Green Acropora. I still call this the steal of the year. Awesome deal at the Reef Shoppe. Was shocked it was only priced $24.

New Acro I picked up on Wednesday with the new lighting.

And one that is starting to color up. Note the deep purple base. :) Can't wait for the entire thing to be that color.

Ooops forgot the required FTS as well. LOL Couple of hospital cases in there from my fathers tank, that he had me pick up today. Green acans on the sanded and chalice way to the lower left on the sandbed. Chalice pretty sure isn't going to make it, but I will give it a day or 2 in there. Acans look like the can be nursed back to health pretty easily.

Thanks Gary. The dotty is a character. He has finally figured out that the wrasse isn't out to take over anything and he has now started building a burrow or something on the left hand side under the rock the chalice is sitting on. pieces of the sandbed are all over stuff on that side. Funny to watch.

That big green acro I think i am going to frag off a few pieces of it. Just need to pick up some glue. From the left all the way to the end is about 4 inches. Doesn't quite look it because of the angle of the picture, but it is quite large.

Looking good. Is this 29 the tank you've had for the past six years?

I see the stand for your 40 on your Flickr account. Sharp.

I love those dotty's also but after me taking my mothers purple pseudochromis AKA. Satins Spawn, and having it live for six years owning my 75 I'm very skeptical about getting another of it's kind. I had that and a maroon clown (named John Wayne Gacy - is that wrong?). Two of the worse fish and for six years nothing else was allowed to survive in my tank because of them. I ended up catching the pseudochromis and put her in another tank. She died a week later.

The 29 has been up for about 3 and half years total. It's had some wicked ups and downs. Real life got in the way for a while and it was kind of a mess. Real life finally is allowing the time to do what I need to do to have a great looking tank.

Ok its Friday. LOL I did swing by carribean forest because i wanted an emerald crab to pick at a minor outbreak of bubble algae and couldn't resist the frag tank. I did good though only bought 2 pieces. LOL Nice big acro frag and a little $5 brown acro (which may turn blue).

Thanks. Fun to see how much growth there has been since the first posts I put up with pictures. Can't believe the growth in that monitors from the first shot to the one that just got posted to Flickr. Pretty cool. I have never really had great success in growing sps in the past. Great to see on such a basic setup right now. No skimmer. No sump. Hang on back aqua clear. :)
