In the market of wavemakers, as you all know. You PAY BIG!! Vortech's $350, Tunze w/controller $400. I've been looking for something in the SEIO range (and the reason I like my SEIOs is with a little modification they mount in the back corner and I can AIM them). But the SEIO's aren't really a good choice for ON/OFF wavemakers or controllers. .
Now, in response to the overpriced Vortech, TUNZE is tackling the SEIO market. There are probably 100's like me that want a nice little back and forth type simple wave set-up, and now we have it!!

The Nanostreams come in 3 flavors. The most expensive one is just over $200
(the 6055) and I BELEIVE (since it says 264 to 1,453 GPH) that one can be used on tunze controllers which have advanced features like "pulsing". .
But for us who like to save the most money. .
The 6025 660 GPH
-or-
The 6045 1,189 GPH. HERE IT IS. The perfect replacement in the SEIO 1100 and 1500 range for 4-6' tanks!! Put one on each end of the tank on a simple timer. They mount with magnets just like Vortechs, are nice to look at, and you can AIM them man!
I went searching around RC and according to a spokesman of Tunze, the "cheaper" ones. Are $70 and $90. So for actually LESS than a SEIO 1500 and a $35 magnet mount. You can get a pump that swivels, is OK to use with timers, and has Tunze reliability and performance history. I don't see how this can't be your first choice if you have around a 55-180 tank! I thought I'd just pass the word. Man these are gonna be PERFECT with my reefkeeper 2.
