Froggie Wall

I've had my first frogspawn wall for about a month now, and it is doing great...Except...

I noticed there is about a half inch place where the flesh isn't coming down the skeleton about a centimeter or two. I have noticed that there is a bit of coraline algae that is growing on that particular spot.

Is this why it is not coming down as far as it should?

Is there something I should do to fix this?

After research that I have done, it seems that a month after you put them in the tank, they either die or thrive. I've been super careful with not putting very much flow on this piece, and I don't think it has anything to do with tissue damage. Any help is certainly appreciated! I will get a couple of pics and post them, but here is a picture form when I got him :spin1:

I had to get a mirror to show where the spot is. I disturbed him when I put the mirror beside him, must have accidentally touched him.... And the above picture is from today.

If it is on the skeleton of the coral, I wouldn't worry about it. I have coraline on the skeleton of my hammer and frog.

I think they pull off the skeleton a bit to grow more skeleton on top. So it might only be on by .5cm but you might end up with a growing wall frogspawn.

Thanks guys... Its looking great right now, I was just a bit worried. Its by far my favorite piece in my tank and I don't want to lose it

it looks pretty good to me. If its expanded like that and you don't see any damaged tissue, I wouldn't worry about it. It very well could be growth like the others are saying.
