Frogspawn Baby???

Last night when my daylight bulbs turned off I noticed a tiny green dot glowing on the sand. It was right under my frogspawn. I picked it up to see what it was. All I know is that it looks like a little baby FS and it is attached to a empty snail shell. The FS looks fine with full extension. I havent found any more. Its so small I cant get the camera to focus on it. Has anyone seen this or have a decent pic of this? TIA

I doubt it's a baby. The frogspawn tentacles break from time to time and drift around the tank. I dunno if it's in attempt to assassinate other coral.

The babies usually grow at the base of the head where flesh meets the hard skeleton.

Here's mine:

It's not unheard of for LPS to "drop" a baby off their skeleton, although it's not overly common.

It kinda looks like that picture but a lot smaller. I have only had this coral for maybe 2 weeks. When I bought it there was no buding around the base.

mine have done that several times in the past. As has been noted, the babies usually come from the stalk. All of the broken tentacles I have ever seen in my tank lasted for a few days and then disappeared. One was actually eaten and then spit out by an aiptasia.
