Frogspawn being attacked

Can anyone identify what exactly is eating this frogspawn polyp? I assume it is some type of polychaete. It formed this tube overnight and has effectively grouted the frag skeleton onto the underlying rock with the same material. Completely cleaned out the polyp. Any ideas?

I plan to take the damaged frag off. The polyp has been cleaned out and the tube appears empty. I am hoping to learn a little about the worm's habits ( is it a borer and therefore could be in the rock somewhere remote from its damage for instance). I haven't seen any of these tubes structures elsewhere in the tank.

I have seen this as well coming out of a hole in one of my acan colonies and a few war corals. It looked almost like cotton coming out of the holes. They haven't killed anything yet. I broke one of the war coral colonies to catch one of the bastards thinking it was a bobit worm and found a small bivalve with a saw blade around its edges. I killed this one by stabbing it with a probe and dipping all of the other specimens with holes in them. Dipping really has no effect on these probably because they just seal up when the rock is removed from water. Let me know what you find. I have read in other posts that these organisms bore for safety and are filter feeders. Definitely **** brains off.
