Frogspawn Coral

I have a brown and green frogspawn that has been acting very odd lately. It has been getting some brown stringy slime like substance coming from the middle of the coral. Last night was the first time I ever saw it totally closed and really compressed. People have mentioned "œbrown jelly" disease. Are there any other symptoms that I should look for? Also, what can I do to help cure whatever it has?

Could be the coral expelling Zooxanthellae or digested waste from it's gastral. Either case does not mean a problem. If it fully expands, as normal, I wouldn't worry about it. If you notice that the coral is remaining closed or only partially expands, it may be having a problem. In that case, check your water parameters, etc. If it expands normally after a day or two it's fine.

Yeah prolly just excreting waste
