Frogspawn or torch coral?

I picked this up at a frag swap in january. It was my first euphyllia and the guy sold it to me as a torch coral. When i commented it looked like a frogspawn he got rather offended and assured me i was wrong. This is the best close up shot i could get. What do you guys think? Froggy or torch?

the photo is taken under actinics btw, not sure if thats important to note or not. Thanks for the help

Thats what i thought, torch corals have longer thinner tentacles with only a single head on each as opposed to the frogspawn which is thick short tentacles with multiple heads per tentacle right?? Thanks btw for the quick replies everyone

Its getting huge. It was about the size of a quarter maybe a little larger in january when i got it and its now easily tripled that size. Do they split or grow new heads once at a certain size? Or can this thing just stay a single head and grow to an infinite size as a single head??

Depends on what type it is, "branching" or "wall". I'm thinking that since you got it at a frag swap its most likely a branching type. If it is it will keep branching out and growing new heads. I had one go from a single head to around a dozen heads in a little over a year. The good news is the branching type is easy to frag and you will be able to keep it the right size for your tank.

Yeah they grow fast if the conditions are right. Mine started out about the size of a golf ball and now it's twice the size of a softball in 3 years.

Don't let it near other corals even though they do not have stinging sweepers as such they still have the abbility to enlongate some arms that pack a powerful sting. I had one sting a bubble coral which is supposed to be compatable w/ frogs but it killed a whole head in one day when I move a powerhead in the tank and gave it access to the bubble.

Nice color, torch tentacles are straight and don't have that type of shape at the end.

Sometimes euphyllia that have been growing near a different sort of euphyllia and touch it may get confused: you can have hammer develop a few froglike branches near the point of contact. They will tolerate each other fairly well for a while, then get cranky. Torch, however, is a little crankier than either of the other two, and is not a friendly neighbor for long.
