Frogspawn Placement in Tank

Greetings everyone,

I had a frogspawn years ago, and it did quite well in the tank until my brother, mistakenly, added too much salt to the tank during a water change...

Anyways, I recently got another one, but because the tank dynamics have changed (namely more flow from a MPW40), I'm reticent about putting it in the old position. I have placed it about midway from the sandbed and, while it seems to be doing okay, it is definitely moving with the flow from the powerheads. I've had it in the tank for a couple weeks and have posted a picture so that everyone can get a better idea of its location/size.

Please let me know if you think such a spot is suitable. If not, where would you place a frogspawn? I've been told they like lots of light but little flow, which can be challenging (higher up you go in the tank the more flow you tend to have).

Thank you!

Me personally, I would move the mp40 to the other side of the tank so you have some cross/random flow with the other PH on the opposite side. Then i would place the frogspawn a little closer to the rock on the left to shield it from the mp40.

They do like a little flow, just don't blast it.

Thank you for the responses.

I initially had the Koralia powerhead on the opposing side, but it really seemed to upset the colt coral. I have been seriously considering moving it down though, as it would have greater protection via the other rocks.

In my experience it all depends on the flow rate that it will be experiencing. I have frogspawn in three different levels within my tank and they are all happy as the picture shows. (Yes I know the tank is cramped. I am in the middle of trying to reduce the size of things). But I have found that current is definitely the number one thing when it comes to this coral. Like it was said, they like flow but don't blast them.

Your tank looks fantastic; I'm quite envious! The current setup seems to be okay for my frogspawn. The WMP40 is high up and buffered by the mushroom while the moralist piwerhead is actually pouring into the corner (difficult to see the depth from the picture). Based off what you have said, would the frogspawn be okay where it is? Or would you recommend it being in a place with very little flow (I.e. Further down). It's hard to tell from your picture, but it looks like at least one of your frogspawns is getting at least moderate flow and is doing well.

Thanks in adjacent!
