frogspawn placement

ok so im a total nub to reef tanks but im off to a good start so far..
got an 80 gallon, been up and running about 5 months now
i just added a decent size frog spawn branch, it has 4 heads
my question is about placement. Due to the branch shape, i placed him inbetween some tonga rock and normal LR, couldnt really fit him anywhere else. One of the heads is pretty close to a part of the tonga rock and when full extended the head is kinda squished on that side. just wondering if that matters or if its gonna stress it out or keep it from fully extending or something like that

If it were my tank I'd find some other option for sure vs. cramming a nice coral head into a piece of rock because it looks good there. Surely you can find or make a spot where all 4 heads, which you paid for, can be enjoyed and have a chance to grow too. I recently had to frag mine because it grew from 2 branches to 18 in 3 years.

well it wasnt CRAMMED in there.... about 10% of one of the heads was too close to a tonga branch, i moved it around a bit its fine now

All I can say from experience, is place it well away from any other corals. I have had my frogspawn sting and eat xenia, mushrooms, ricordeas, etc, so I've learned the tough way. They do send out sweeper tentacles at times that are 2-3" longer than the rest on the head, so be aware. I just put the close stuff on the side where the flow comes from, as the tentacles can't hit them and the ones on the other side further away.
