Frogspawn question

My buddy is tearing down his tank and has offered to sell me 10 heads of frogspawn for $5 each ($50 total). Attached is a picture. In looking online, that seems like a fair price.

Also, any tips on frogspawn? I know they have tentacles that can sting other corals. My thought was to place them on rockwork apart from others, basically on an island.

Yes they have a powerful sting and can damage other corals reaching out a bit to sting. I would start about midway up in the water column. Lower if you have powerful MH or LEDs. They like stable tanks with moderate flow and light. Grow faster when fed and like a little PO4 ~0.04ppm and NO3 ~5ppm in the tanks, but can handle less if you have a mixed tank w/ SPS. .

They are pretty easy and pretty hardy in my experience. That's a great price for a 10 head. I paid like $33 for my single headed one (it split to two heads a week after I got it though ):

Go for it. Make your water parameters match mine and it likes 10000k light.

How deep do you have that frogspawn in your tank spork and under what kinda lights? If you dont mind me asking.

This, mine showed best color when kept lower in the water column/lower light, 12K is my preference in lighting, but they are fine under whatever you like pretty much.
They can usually touch other euphyllia like hammer w/out issues, torches may need more space as they are the euphyllia known to have a stronger sting.

Cool I have similar light. Only running them 15% whites and 60% color.

Thinking I need to put it up midway (about 12 inches down, as the green tentacles have turned a bit more brownish color

I never spot feed mine but it's grown very well from two heads to this in about 12 months. One of my favorite corals. If the flow is so hard that it's constantly exposing the mouths it's too much.
