Fromia at 1.020 SG?

Ordered a tile fromia and before acclimation I tested the water in its bag. How is the star supposed to survive acclimation to 1.025 tank water? Why would Blue Zoo keep/ship inverts at such a low salinity?

It's pretty normal for suppliers to keep their salinity at 1.019 actually. All three of the LFS I go to and LA have sent me things at 1.019, bluezoo sent me inverts at 1.022 once in the past as well.

How is it possible to acclimate them in an hour or two? I thought creatures shouldn't have the SG raised more than 0.002 per day. I thought starfish were particularly sensitive to changes in salinity. Even using the recommended 3 hour acclimation, that is still seems brutally fast. How fast can starfish have their salinity raised then? Anyone know?

Possibly transferring them to a small tank at same salinity and increasing salinity with SW daily top-off?

Yes Shawn, that's what I would have done. I keep a QT running 24/7 with a lower salinity for fish. But that's because they always arrive at a lower salinity. The info that arrived with the inverts just said drop acclimate for an hour and add them to your tank. How is no one else having a problem?
BTW I love your avatar, Shawn. That is my Holy Grail fish.
