front pump cover

Is there a modified version of the front pump cover for my 6100 pumps avail that will give a wider dispersion?

I would like to move my pumps from the rear corners to the sides, but my rock and coral placement would be in close proximity to the powerheads, so i was thinking of a wider spray would be better for total coverage. Only other option i see would be to leave the 2 pumps in the corners and add a 3rd pump and put it in the center/rear facing straight towards the front glass. It is a 120gal 4ft tank. 2/3 of tank is hard corals

Yes, you could use the 6200.13 the face screen from a 6200. It isn;t cheap though, that part is about $46 and I recommend using the screen over the outlet which is about $6 more IIRC. The outlet is 2.5" (65mm) so therisk of something entering is greater so a screen is available. I would try to avoid adding another pump for heat, aesthetics, maintanence, cost.....

thanks for the reply Roger...Is there any info on what the angle of output is on the 6100 vs the angle on the larger 6200. I am thinking if it is 20degrees or more difference it might be worth the $52.

It increases the spread from about 24"- to about 30". I think Fliger and a couple other people on RC have done it.
