Frozen Fish Food- Does it expire?

I have a bunch of frozen squid, mysis, rotifiers etc etc. that have been sitting in my freezer for quite some time. Having had a small system for quite some time, I went through these very slowly.

I would cut the cubes into pieces and ziplock bag the leftovers.

My question is twofold:

1. Since there is no typical expiration date on this type of frozen food, is there a recommended replacement period?
2. Oftentimes some portions of the food will get freezer burned. Is there any issue with feeding food that is partially freezer burned to the reef?

If the food is kept in a standard refrigerator freezer which allows them to thaw and refreeze then they only last for about 6 months maybe less. Nutrients within frozen food degrade quickly when allowed to thaw, so it's best to keep food in a deep chest freezer. If you keep the foods in a deep freezer which keeps them frozen for good, then they stay good for well over a year or longer. I have fed freezer burned food to my tank with no problems, and I can't really see any issues with doing so other than it may not be as palatable or nutritious. It's hard to prevent freezer burn even with ziploc bags, and I don't really see much issue with feeding food that has freezer burn.
