frustrated over hydrometer search

On accident I broke my floating hydrometer/theometer . I love it....simple and I check it against my digital temp. It is a very basic tool and love that it has no moving parts. First went online-the shipping was not even worth it. So I went to petland- all the have is the ones that you put water in and the plastic arrow moves. Never had any luck on those being accurate and it is five times more expensive. Then I went to petco ...they were 'out'. It went.back two weeks later still empty except for the cobwebs. I drove by nature's emporium ....they stop carrying them when they stop selling tropical fish. anyone seen the floating hydrometers anywhere?

pet solutions and dr foster and smith have free shipping if you spend over 49. If there is other equipment you need too, I would do that. You can also try ultimate aquariums or c and p in christiansburg

you really should use a refractometer, they are much more precise as long as they are calibrated correctly (most come with calibration fluid and you can double check it with RODI water.

you can find them anywhere online, RC5 is 5% off aquacave.
