FS: 6-Line Wrasse that eats flat worms....

Naperville Reef

New member
about 6 months ago i had a small outbreak of flatworms. i bought a 6-Line Wrasse and he ate them all in less than a week. maybe even a few days.

i have been flatworm free ever since and the Wrasse has doubled in size, although he was quite small when i bought him.

he probably needs a bigger tank than i have. would love to trade it for a blue neon goby or something similar.

or i could sell it for $10.

glbtrottr..... i would really like to get this wrasse out of my tank no later than this weekend. i know this is short notice and i apologize but i will not have much time to deal with it next week.

please let me know if this works for you b/c i have had several pms about the wrasse. since we are both in Naperville i could drop it off at your house whenever it is convenient.

thanks

rob

Naperville Reef...if he's gotta go today, I can take him for $10. I could most likely drive up later this afternoon.

Jeff

BTW...if there's someone else that wants him, by all means, let them have first dibs....I've already got one in my softie tank....they're great fish and this is a great price...

i will pick him up today if jeff doesn't want him. pm sent

By all means....take him. If you don't already have one, they truly are great little fish. I just hated to see nobody making an offer.

i really want this fish to go into a big tank. taino64... not sure if a 40g tank is big enough. it is probably ok but i would rather wait and see if someone with a bigger tank can take him.

jeff... you are more than welcome to take him if you want him.

I'm trying to do a little research to find out if more than one can be kept together. I think my 180 is going to be "Tang only"....:D

FWIW....I think a 40g is plenty for a sixline. Most of what I've seen recommend 30 or larger. As long as he eats prepared foods as well as live I see no problem.

Let me do more research before I decide....and in the meantime, keep your other options open.....care is more important than size anyhow.....:D

i mostly agree. i sent taino64 a pm and told him that a 40g was probably ok and he could have it if no one else with a bigger tank can pick it up today.

I can't seem to find anything that says you can't put two of them in the same tank, but I can't find anything that says you can either. I think I'm going to have to decline.....the LAST thing I want to see is one of them get killed or injured. I think taino64 showed enthusiasm....and that usually translates into caring.....I'd go that route if I were you. Sorry to muddy the waters here.

I will take good care of him. He will be in a 37 Oceanic cube connected to a 40 gal refuim. There is around 75 pounds of LR between the tank and refugium, chaeto, softies LPS ans sand bed in both tanks. Tank and refugium established over a year ago. lots of pods. I'm thinking of picking up Rods Food this week at Coral Paridise. I'm sure he will eat that to. If no one wants him I will be more then happy to pick him up today.

Thanks guys
