I have a young Achilles tang. The tear drop hasn't developed yet as he is very young. He is about 3.5 " big and he eats really good. Tank Transfer method already done and quarantined for 30 days so I can guarantee that the fish is super clean. Ready for display.

Some times his coloration is red and sometimes it is bright orange. The long fins pointing down from the chin is dark Blue in color.

Let me know if you are interested

haha, not parting

haha, not parting

when I want to have a fish in my display I usually buy two or three extras. Just as a back up. What if buy just one and it doesn't make it through Tank Transfer method or Quarantine? This time, both Achilles made it and they both are awesome specimens. I kept one and selling one.

yes

yes

That's good work! Did I see a pic of your tank with an achellis a powder blue and brown or gold rim at the same time?

Yes but please don't be a tang police now. I'm not saying you are one but I'm just afraid of tang polices. lol. I still have all of them in the same display tank, and just selling the back up extras fishes I bought along with them.

Fear me.

lol they are in a 280 gallon but still the tangs may get aggressive as they get large. we will see what happens. for now they are acting fine except for my little lavender tang. He doesn't like the other tangs. May be I will revoke his visa and deport him to some other house. But so far no big aggression. I think in short term this may work but as tangs get to 8 inch the max number of tangs for my size tank is only two or 3. we will see what happens

no powder brown tang in my tank

no powder brown tang in my tank

I don't have a powder brown but I have a white cheek tang. I mean I don't have a acanthurus japonicus but I have a acanthurus nigricans. He is much more mellow than a powder brown which is nice.

Not police, more like junkie. I think it's cool looking, and since I know this is hard to impossible to do I like seeing it actually happen sometimes. 280 gallons is plenty enough to keep the tang poe poes away.

so many offers for this fish but

so many offers for this fish but

I have a crap class display in my garage (225 gallon system) and this tang is in there. My chevron tang put a small nick on the skin of the Achilles tang. I want it to heal and then I will sell it to who ever wants to buy first. Already the nick is gone now. Will check tonight and post the update by the end of this weekend

sold!

sold!

sold! A gentleman from Salinas came and picked up the fish even with that nick on his body.

The fish is gone. Mods please close the thread. Thanks.
