As a result of my upcoming relocation, I plan on selling my SPS tank. I purchased all of the equipment brand new. The tank and all of the equipment are less than four months old.
The tank is a custom-made 150 gallon tank (60 ½ x 24 ½ x 25). It has starphire glass on the front and black silicone on all of the edges. The tank has a black backing. The overflow is located on the right side and is equipped with a durso pipe and return line output. The tank is in terrific shape. It runs beautifully and silently. I designed this tank for my living room. The plumbing is well organized and very minimal. I have an additional nozzle and valve which allow me to attach flexible tubing to the return line for water changes. This makes water changes very easy and helps avoid unnecessary spills.
Maintenance is quick and easy. I perform one monthly water change of 20-25 gallons. I administer two-part daily.
I have not yet had the time to have someone come out and skin the stand.
I am including everything I use in order to keep the system running smoothly. I hope to sell everything as a package rather than part it out. I am located in San Diego, California.
Equipment:
- Eheim 1262 (900 gph) return pump
- TEK 8 bulb x 54 watt fixture. Since the fixture is not actively cooled, I use a four fan azoo unit that blows across the bulbs. The bulbs are four month old and include 4 ATI Blue Plus and 4 ATI Aqua Blue Special. I've found that this combination of bulbs along with the fans provide fantastic growth.
- 2 x Tunze Turbelle Stream 2 Pumps (New Generation with Titanium Alloy Shafts). Each pump provides 3,170 gph.
- Royal Exclusive Alpha 200 Cone Skimmer. This skimmer handles the system very well and is the best skimmer I've ever used. It's efficient and is not noisy.
- JBJ Auto Top off with Aqualifter
- Reef Octopus Sump (Large Model)
- Tunze Wavebox 6212 w/ magnets
- Two Little Fish Reactor. I use this reactor to hold zeolites.
Maintenance:
- RO/DI (90 gallons/day). I will include additional DI Resin.
- 55 feet of tubing for water changes
- 44 gallon Brute trash bin to hold fresh RO/DI and mix new salt water
- Tropic Marin Pro Reef Salt
- Refractometer with calibration fluid
- Test Kits (CA, Alk, MG, Nitrate, Phosphate, PH).
-Two part (combination of Bulk Reef Supply and B-ionic)
- Zeovit Coloration Supplements/Additives
- TDS Meter
- Magnet Glass Cleaner w/ blade attachment
Livestock:
- 75 lbs. of live rock
- 20 lbs. of live sand (with an additional 20 lbs. of dry sand)
- Fish: Passer Angel, Scopas Tang, Leopard Wrasse, 2 Chromis, Bartlett's Anthias, Mandarin Goby, Scooter Blenny and a Neon Goby.
- Clean Up Crew: A handful of each of the following: hermit crabs, Emerald crabs, Nassarius snails, Fighting Conch, 1 Turbo snail.
- 33 colorful, constantly growing and thriving SPS "“ ALL of which are aquacultured/tank raised (with the exception of 3 pieces)
- 5 LPS
I am asking for $3,500 or best offer. I've spent well over this amount on all of the equipment and livestock. You may reach me by private message. I can provide you with my contact information over PM.
I am a terrible photographer so please excuse the quality of the photos. The tank looks much better in person. I think the tank will look incredible with about 6 months worth of growth at the rate it's currently maturing.
