i have some Questions. when you start a QT do you just use the water from your water change? do you change and clean out the QT after everytime you use it? do you quarantine invertebrates? did not mean to steal Mike post

I use about 75% from a water change and the rest, new water. Definitely do NOT reuse it. Dump it and clean the tank to make sure there are no nasties remaining
Thanks Guys i known i should have a QT but am a gambling man too and i really did not know how to set one up or don't even think i have seen one before.i thought i would start one before my luck run out.
You should really start one. I was a gambling man too and it bit me in the bum. Scooby I just used two 10 gallon tanks as QT I would like to get a 20L for bigger fish. All I did is have a thermometer, heater, cheap water filter took the carbon out and added a sponge, and a clear cup for the fish to hide in. Also a small fresh water LED light if needed. Its pretty easy. Just have the pH and temp the same as your display
