GreshamH - Not loud when it runs, but I plumbed chiller outside for best performance. I checked website and could not find any noise measurements. Check it out next time you are in the San Joaquin County area

plankton, I am interested in the RO/DI. can you give me the mfr and model so I can look up the specs on it? How did it work for you? Did you do TDI measurements with it? If so what were they? How much life is left in the current cartridges/membranes in the filter?

I purchased the RO/DI unit from www.hbwatersystems.com I thought it was a 75 GPD but it might be 100GPD. The replacement filter set is #RFDIFK. Each stage has a clear chamber to easily inspect the cartridge. I added an autoshutoff to be used with a float value or auto-top off. It also comes with a flush bypass which helps keep the outside of the RO membrane clean if you use it periodically. I also have an extra set of DI and prefilters.

Yes, I do have a TDS meter (Hanna Instruments DIST 3) and output has always been zero or near zero. I normally replace the DI every 6-8mo and prefilters every 3mo to protect the RO. Also, flush for 2min every month or so. I don't know now much is left on the RO membrane.

Someone asked about the auto-topoff. It is made by Spectrapure and called the SpectraPure Single Tank Liquid Replenisher . Retail appears to be about $94.99, but doesn't include the ballast for remote applications. I have the ballast. Price reduced to $60 not including shipping.
