Doug, that bonsai I have is ticking me off! It lost its colors again and growth just stopped! I dunno why. The first frag has your name on it for sure.

It has been taking off here lately. That pic actually is a few weeks old. My caps are slightly bigger now. It will eventually shade that leather is one of the reason Im selling it.
I would if I really knew how. Dan(Normanviking) suggested to just cut it up with a sharp scissors or knife. Its not like an sps were I can just break or cut off a branch.
I found a reference on Wetwebmedia.com. Search for "Sarcophyton Propagation". You'd essentially cut the cap off with a razor blade and both parts will regenerate. You can also frag the cap. There are precautions to follow due to the amount of toxins it could release. Seems a shame to consider cutting up such a specimen though.
Sorry Russ, didn't think about that part... No problem, who ever buys it, please keep me in mind if you are willing to frag a little; it would help cover the costs of it.
I understand that point. We cut around 30 peices off of my buddies. We just rinsed them with tank water and put them in my my sump. I never saw any negative effects on my corals in my main tank. All the frags are 100% alive. I still could not believe the ease of it. That is a good price for that big of one. Good luck with it Russ.
