FS Hamilton Belize 48" 2x250WMH 2x54W T5 Fixture

I am preparing for a major home remodel and have (temporarily) torn down my tank. After the remodel, I've decided to go with LED's and as a result, I don't need this fixture.

The fixture is a 48 inch with 2x250 DE MHs and 2x250 54W T5s. I upgraded the unit to switchable electronic ballasts. They run cool and completely silent. They do a great job of driving bluer MH's like 14Ks and 20Ks. It also has moonlights (but I never use them). The fixture has legs so it can sit right on top of the tank. Worked great on my 110 rimless. It can also be cable suspended. I will also throw in two BNIB sets (four bulbs) of actinic T5's and two BNIB 20K MH's.

I'd say it's in good condition. It's been on top of the tank for about 2 years. The ballasts are in excellent condition. I'll give it a good cleaning before sale.

I paid about $900 for the unit (with the upgrade on the ballasts). I'd take $400 OBO.

I'll try to post pictures in the next day or so but if you google Hamilton Belize, it's pretty easy to find the unit.

Good luck on your sale and your house remodel. I did a full house remodel and lost all of my fish and 90% of my corals when I put them in temp home (ie 100 gallon bucket) for a few weeks.

I would do it very differently if I had to do it over again.

Hence the reason for the tear down. We have to move out of the house for a couple of months so that really complicated things.

It's going to be an adventure.

Hi all:

I'm reviving this thread. I decided to pull the trigger on LED's so this is no longer needed. Make an offer.

Thanks.

Here's a picture of it running. 20170323_075934.jpg

how old are the bulbs? might have someone interested. what led are you looking a leaning towards? he has 2 radions gen3s that might be up for trade plus cash if he decides to go to mh....
thanks

I've actually already ordered the G4s. I have two sets of BNIB bulbs plus BNIB T5s. So, no problem their.

Yup. You can even take any old bulbs I have as well. The only thing I have to mention (because I'm old and I forgot) is that I cut the cable for the moonlights. It had a huge transformer plug and I never used them. To be honest, they were really crap. Not enough light to call it moonlight. Let me know if that's an issue. No problem if it is. I tossed the transformer but you could probably order a new one for about 5 bucks and a butt splice.

no worries, ill let him know, its no biggie... his main thing is getting "faster" coral growth, so I recommended Mh. He's doing his research and probably make a decision in a day or so. Ill keep you updated.

OK. So I want this out of my garage. $200 OBO. I have several new or nearly new MH bulbs for this as well. Unfortunately my extra T5's broke during my home renovation.

I also have a RO Classic Skimmer $100 OBO. Please help me clean my garage.

Thanks. My garage is starting to look like Discount Aquarium. Plus, the money is going to an SLR so I can finally get some decent shots of my tank.
