Hello all, been a while since I posted. Have a gorgeous Stars and Stripes puffer that's very friendly towards other fish, but an aggressive eater. Selling bc he's getting too big for my tank (sucks cuz he's one of mine and the gfs favorite) tried to take pics to show reference with other fish. Asking 100 :) thnx live in gilbert off queen creek and Val vista. Questions just pm and I'll get back to ya ASAP ;)

He's pretty big about 5 inches long or so and fat! He loves to eat, goes crazy. Doesn't scratch my acrylic or anything like stories I've heard of em dragging teeth and such. He's a great fish, just needs more room. I have a 180 tall more than wide.

Any offers? They're not in season right now, gonna take him to the pet shop at the end of the week if no one wants him :/ just don't wanna take a huge loss on such a gorgeous fish.

It's deals like this that make me wish I didn't have corals, or that I had an extra tank to put him in. He's a great looking fish and that price is right for sure.

Anyone who can house this fish I encourage you to make an offer and give it a good home!

Thnx I appreciate that. And he's a Japanese dragon eel :) one of my favorite fish. He's such a pig when it comes to eating. Eventually I wanna get a 300+ gallon tank so he will have more swimming room.keeping nitrates down sucks with these guys.

It's just a matter of compatibility I think. I love puffers but they eat things that I also love. For someone with a fish only tank or a tank without ornamental shrimp/crabs/snails and certain corals then this is a great fish. Puffers are like dogs. They can be trained, they recognize their owners, and beg for food. I've even owned some that would let me pet them.

Oh wow. Yea I don't think he'd let me pet him. He's friendly but mistook my pinky for food once and bit it while cleaning the tank. Lil bugger looked like he pulled the best prank ever on me with that damn grin afterwards lol

Petting is not something I would take lightly! Let me clarify that for sure. It's not something every puffer allows, or that you should try without many slow measured training sessions.

Also, it's vital you never pet the puffer with dry hands. Always make sure your hands are wet, underwater is best but they do get the point where they stick their crown out of the water for you.
